Food came out extremely fast. We didn't realize how big the portions were and now have dinner for days. Breaded lobster was excellent and can't be found at other similar Chinese cuisine restaurants. Fried rice at first tasted a bit bland but when you bite into a piece of the salted ham, it definitely got better. The shining star dish was the Peking Duck with wrap instead of bao. The duck skin was incredibly crispy and thin. They also brought out a soup for the duck as a starter.

Took my husband here for Peking duck for his birthday - this place has the best and most consistent reviews and he's always wanted to try it! Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. We split the whole duck order. The first thing we were brought was giant bowl of duck soup - this soup is like chicken soup comfort on a whole new level. I loved the chunks of fresh ginger brought a nice heat on the tongue and helped lift the rich duck stock. Next the duck was brought sliced and arranged on a sweet duck plate with a dark sweet sauce, scallions, cucumbers, and small pancakes. First we had the duck meat on its own and we were both in awe with the way the fat was crispy and melty all at once, and the meat was rich and tender. Then we wrapped the duck in the pancakes with the sauce and scallions and cucumbers. So good together! We will definitely revisit

Been wanting to visit this place for months. Finally we made it tonight. We didn't order Peking duck ad I personally prefer Cantonese roast duck. I aimed at bean curd noodle soup and it was outstanding! Also ordered lion's head with crab meat. Mm, it is a bit blend. The cabbage was extraordinary as well as hubby's Mongolian beef. But he didn't care for house specialty lao mian saying it is very dry. But overall we are very happy. Add a little bit of soy sauce and chili pepper, the leftover will be marvellous.

My family has been frequenting this gem since it opened, and we have every intention of continuing. While the menu is extensive, the standout dish is undoubtedly the full order of Peking duck. The presentation is impeccable, with an abundance of succulent duck and crispy skin, accompanied by all the traditional accoutrements. The consistency here is unmatched; the food always arrives quickly and maintains a high standard. We've never left disappointed. It's a testament to the restaurant's dedication to quality and service. For anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience, this place is an absolute must-visit.

Went for my birthday dinner and had an excellent Peking Duck. Super crispy skin, delicate pancakes/crepes, and delicious duck meat, plus tasty duck soup as an appetizer. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday meal!

This place is an exceptional Chinese restaurant where both non-spicy and spicy cuisines are served. The service is mediocre as they only respond when you call for them, not unlike a typical Chinese restaurant, and the decorations are above average. I loved every dish that I ordered. The peking duck was among the best I've tried, and the steam chicken in chili sauce was very good too. The pork belly dish was very tasty for sure, and a little heavy for me, and the Dazhu Gansi was not a dish I commonly order, but it was surprisingly good. The bamboo house currently ranks among the top Chinese restaurants that I loved, like TKS and Hunan Bistro and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who loves Chinese food.

When your favorite foodie uncle is visiting from out of town, this is the place place to bring him! This restaurant specializes in Shanghainese dishes that you can rarely find in this area. Just by the beauty of the dishes you can tell they are delicious. Trust me, the food was amazing. Check out my photos below. We got 2 orders of the duck plus the really thin pancake to make your own duck wrap, duck soup, mixed soup with noodles made of tofu, pea sprouts sautee in garlic, beef tongue (so tender and flavorful!), pepper steak, soup with pork ribs and tofu knots... The thin wrappers for the duck is special! It's rare to find that here in this area. Most places have the steamed bun (mantou). Only complaint is that my uncle ordered two very traditional Shanghainese dishes that were not available so he'll have to return the next time he visits. We had a party of 9 and got a large round table and everyone was seated comfortably with elbow room so this place is great for larger gatherings. Though if you have a small party 4 or less, the front room has smaller tables to accommodate.
